To support our commitment to learning, we have developed Barnes University. Barnes University provides employees with specialized learning under various functional “Academies." Each Academy will include many tools, resources, and additional guidance designed to support your personal and career development. Our extensive library of e-learning classes puts you in the driver’s seat - when you need it and how you need it - to pursue your training, sharpen your skills, or advance your career. The learning academies feature functional training in key areas such as Business Skills, Sales, People Management, Communications, and Leadership.
Education Reimbursement Program
Barnes Group offers an excellent Education Reimbursement Program that employees can participate in based on certain eligibility requirements. This program provides an incentive for participation in degree programs with support for tuition, books, and fees.
Barnes Group Emerging Leaders Program (BELP)
This intensive one-week development program plays an important role in helping BGI to develop our organization’s future leaders. The program’s five-day agenda is designed to help participants realize their fullest potential at Barnes Group by providing the essential building blocks needed for managerial and leadership success within our organization.
Barnes Leadership Development Program (BLDP)
This program, which takes place over the course of seven months, focuses on a series of modules aimed at development in the key areas of Strategy, Leadership, Managing People to the Fullest, Acquiring and Assessing Talent, and Diversity Awareness. Like the BELP, individuals are nominated for participation in the BLDP by their functional or operational management teams.
BES Leadership Development Program (BES LDP)
This intensive three-week training program provides practical skills and competency building to enable participants to effectively, efficiently, and reliably develop organizational cultures at their businesses that create value for stakeholders in complex and rapidly changing environments. The program also enables participants to better manage all aspects of the Barnes Enterprise System's (BES) continuous improvement strategies and portfolios, and increase their teams' performance through utilization of effective communication skills. The BES Leadership Development Program is a minimum two-year assignment within one of Barnes Group's global organizations. BES LDP participants are responsible for leading and implementing improvements within their site, while partnering with management to develop a deep culture of continuous improvement.
