A Legacy of Learning
The Barnes Group Foundation is strongly committed to strengthening education in our communities. Through our matching gift program, the Foundation encourages Barnes Group employees, directors and spouses to financially support primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities and community learning facilities.

Over the past three years, the Barnes Group Foundation has supported more than 400 schools and cultural centers in almost every state, helping to ensure a legacy of learning for the future.

Uplifting Our Communities
Along with education, the Barnes Group Foundation believes healthcare and the arts in all forms are crucial components to building a strong community. The Foundation also provides matching gifts for employees, directors and their spouses to financially support the arts and healthcare organizations. The matching gift program helps Barnes Group reinvest in art and healthcare services that improve the quality of life in our local communities everyday.

Raising Spirits the United Way
Through contributions to the annual United Way campaign, the Barnes Group Foundation helps the United Way empower local organizations to assist people in their own communities with human services ranging from disaster relief and emergency food, shelter and crisis intervention, to day care, physical rehabilitation and youth development.

The United Arts Campaign
Each year, the generosity of our employees and the matching contributions from our Foundation help the Greater Hartford Arts Council's United Arts Campaign raise funds to provide operating support for the Hartford Capital Region's arts and history organizations, which support more than 250,000 children.

Preserving the Environment
The Barnes Group Foundation is a significant contributor to the Indian Rock Preserve and the Harry C. Barnes Memorial Nature Center, which permanently preserves several hundred acres of forestland in the Bristol, Connecticut, area. Through these centers, school children in the central Connecticut area have learned about the beauty and history of their natural surroundings - and the importance of preserving that beauty for generations to come.
